ZigBee Technical Foundations

To successfully develop and deploy an application using ZigBee, it’s important to have some basic technical foundations. These topics will be covered in a high level way, so they will be accessible to the technically inclined project or product manager who is not interested in the actual implementation details but who may be called upon to explain some basic behaviors and concepts.

Specifically, we will cover the following “foundation topics”:

• Introduction to mesh networking – message routing, route discovery, route repair
• Building blocks of ZigBee Applications: The ZCL and Application Profiles
• Introduction to ZigBee security and encryption
