My software works on some hardware but not other hardware. What can be going on?

I have an image for the EM250 that runs on some of my hardware but not other pieces of hardware. What can the issue be?
I have an image that used to work on my EM250, but it doesn't appear to be working now. What is the issue?
There are two possibilities, either you haven't uploaded the
bootloader, or you need to clear out the tokens. Here are how to solve
both of these problems.
* You may need to upload the standalone
bootloader to your hardware. Some times ISD doesn’t upload the correct
bootloader to hardware. The .ebl file requires that a bootloader be
present for it to run. The bootloader is located in the stack install
under tool/bootloader/standalone-bootloader.
* You may need to
clear your application tokens. If you are upgrading from an older
version of software, the token area of flash may have some strange
values that the newest release of our software may misinterpret causing
software glitches. To do this, upload the rangetest application and
issue a TOKSCRUB command. The rangetest application is located in
STACK/app/rangetest.
